Browning's BXR Deer loads are specifically tailored to whitetail deer and perfect for hunting with one of America's most venerable calibers: the .243 Winchester. These rounds are manufactured by Winchester and bear the Browning name in order to convey quality production and solid U.S. shooting foundations. As such, each cartridge is constructed using top-tier components including a reloadable brass casing, a non-corrosive Boxer primer, and clean-burning propellant grains. The round is topped off with a 97-grain Rapid Expanding Matrix Tip projectile which is heavy for the caliber and offers enhanced penetration and energy transfer.
The Matrix Tip is made up of a proprietary mixture of polymer and copper and is tapered to the bullets jacket slick drag resistance. Upon impact, the tip is designed to break away into fragments and expose the hollow cavity beneath it. During entry, the cavity will provide expedient expansion which increases the bullet's diameter causing it to yaw, slow, and create a relatively large wound cavity before delivering game-dropping energy to vital areas. Browning is well-known for countless firearms designed which have served military forces and diehard hunters for decades. Their classic deer logo on boxes of ammunition is a symbol that American shooters can trust in the field.
